Arts Council of Fort Worth & Tarrant County - IT Systems Assessment

We worked with the Arts Council to assess their IT systems security, reliability and efficiency. Once problem areas were identified we created and implemented a plan to help them address system deficiencies, and develop long term IT strategies. Action areas included:

• on-line security
• network and system reliability and efficiency
• automation of routine system maintenance and backup

Anderson & Associates - Develop a New Work Flow & Integrate New Technologies

We were called upon by Anderson & Associates, an established embroidery firm, to help them increase productivity (without decreasing quality) by transitioning from traditional techniques and methodologies, to newer working strategies. Our plan included:

• evaluate work flow and recommend new methodologies that stream line processes by integrating new digital technologies intelligently
• train staff of traditional artists and technicians to use the new tools
• help transition to the new system smoothly
• create a plan for continued development

E2M Health - Online Health Assesment and Reporting System

We spearheaded planning and R&D for E2M's online health assessment and reporting system including development of:

• instrument parameters and limitations
• user interface and information architecture
• database recording and analysis strategies
• security and authentication
• branding
• dynamic data analysis and report generation

Sid Richardson Museum of Western Art

We did a thorough needs analysis for the Museum. In addition to analyzing technician factors, system deficiencies, and cost analysis, we also spent time with the staff analyzing work flow so that we could recommend a solution that would improve ergonomics and convenience as well as technical stability. We then created a plan of action for moving the Museum forward. The plan included; eliminating dial-up service and replacing it with a DSL and Web hosting package (a savings of 80%), adding system monitoring, maintenance, backup and virus protection software, creating a peer-to-peer network, reinstalling and/or upgrading operating systems and software, redesigning the work areas to increase workspace and user comfort. We led the Museum through the process of implementing the plan and helped them to create a strategies for continued monitoring, maintenance and upgrades.

Girls Incorporated, Arlington

We provided a needs analysis for Girls Incorporated, a non profit agency that had outgrown their strategy of using standalone PCs with dialup internet access. We developed a cost effective solution to improve productivity and technical stability, and address system deficiencies. Our solution included: wiring the building, creating a Local Area Network, adding a firewall, replacing dial-up service with DSL, installing appropriate windows patches and hotfixes,  and adding corporate strength antivirus to all systems. We helped them to initiate a regular maintenance program to keep software up to date and systems working efficiently.  To maintain consistent data through staff and system changes, we installed a Linux based fileserver to provide filestorage for all users and created an automatic daily backup system.  Finally we establish uniform software and hardware upgrade standards to help keep costs down and reliability up.

Dallas Museum of Art - Acquisition of Contemporary Video Art Instillation

As video art experts we aided the Dallas Museum of Art in their efforts to acquire work by the well known video artist Bill Viola.

Footwear Corporation - Inventory and Order Management System

We worked with Inspire Graphic House to develop and create an easy to use system to manage Footwear inventory and order new and replacement stock.  Delivered on CD and designed to run on moderately equipped computers, the system communicates with the corporate server in the background, transparently handling financial transactions and conversions between yen and US dollars.
